Mapawa Nature Park is a vast property abundant wiht magnificent waterfalls, imposing views and exciting activities. It offers a relaxing environment for those seeking peace and solitude as well as a site for fun and adventure for kids of all ages.
Managed and operated by the Emmanuel N. Pelaez family, this property holds history and heritage linking itself to the people of Cagayan De Oro. Our commitment is to conserve and enhance the natural environment, at the same time helping to educate the community about the importance of protecting our natural resources.
Join us for an escapade through the pastures and forests of Mapawa. We will share a thrilling experience as you rappel alongside our 65-foot waterfall. Take a leisurely ride on horseback and explore the wonders of nature. Relax and dip in our natural spring-fed swimming holes or have a go on our gripping ziplines. We also cater to group events and conduct eco-lectures for company functions or youth groups.

Guests traverse from tree to tree and platform to platform using pulleys on horizontal cables, as they sail through the treetops. Guides assists you, until you rappel back down to the forest floor.

 Eco-Trek with Environmental Lecture
Another unique feature that is housed within Mapawa is a 250-year old white lauaan (Pentacme contorta of the Diterecarp family) tree situated in our trek trails. Wrapped around the 2-meter diameter gigantic tree is an equally huge strangling fig (Ficus balete) that has surprisingly maintained a parasitic coexistence with the tree without killing it.
Let a forester facilitate a short lecture on the environment and see a 250 year old tree. Take a 15min trail in mini forest and see the diversity of wildlife.
