TAIWAN TOURISM BUREAU AND LA 18 KSCI TV INTRODUCE NEW TRAVEL PROGRAM
TRAVEL TO TAIWAN WITH LA 18 CELEBRITIES
The Taiwan Tourism Bureau in partnership with LA 18 will host a press conference in support
of an exciting new program, “Travel to Taiwan.” LA 18’s celebrity personalities will travel to
Taiwan with four different groups of community tourists: Filipino, Vietnamese, Chinese, and
Korean. The week-long trip is scheduled for the end of February to the beginning of March.
Each tourist group will be represented by different travel agencies: Aberdeen Tours will arrange
trips for the Vietnamese and Chinese groups, while Filipinos will be attached to TravelPhil and
Travel International Group. Aju Tours will organize for the Korean tourist group.
The special tours will showcase the best sightseeing in Taiwan and take travelers to filming
locations of popular Korean and Chinese dramas. Beautiful destinations featured on the trip
include Sun Moon Lake, Taroko Gorge, Chiufen, the Taipei 101 Building, and the National Palace
Museum – places where the famous Korean drama “On Air” was filmed. Kaohsiung is also a stop
along the way, which is a famous shooting location of the Chinese drama “Black and White.” At
the end, every tourist will receive a free DVD chronicling the memory of their thrilling trip. |

Taipei- Taroko Gorge-Hualien (B/L/D)
Breakfast at hotel. Today we will drive to the East of Taiwan, visit the famous Taroko Marble Gorge. (filming location of "On Air") Stops will be made at Eternal Spring Shrine, Swallow Caves, Tunnel of Nine Turns, Tienhsiang Lodge, Marble Factory. After that, transfer to Hualien City for overnight stay.

Hualien - Chiufen Village - Taipei (B / -- / D)
After breakfast, return to Taipei, on route visit Northeast Coastal National Scenic Area, stops will be made at Pitou Cape, Nanya Rock Formations. After that, proceed to Chiufen Village, (filming location of "On Air"), visit old street of Chiufen Viilage, enjoy local food on your own. By the way, you could have a tea tasting at the Chiufen Tea House at your own charge. Continously, we will drive back to Taipei. Evening, visit Shihlin Night Market.

Taipei City Tour (B / L /--)
After breakfast, visit Martyrs' Shrine, National Palace Museum, Kuanghua Electronic and Computer Market, Taipei 101 Building and Shopping District (can purchase ticket at your own charge) to take the fastest lift to the 85 Floor Observatory to have a bird's eye view of Taipei City). Dinner on your own at Taipei 101 Building.

Taipei - Sun Moon Lake (B / L/ D)
This morning, we will drive to the Central of Taiwan "Sun Moon Lake". Upon arrival, we will have a bicycle ride around Sun Moon Lake for about 2 hours. After that, transfer to hotel for refreshing, and we will then have a lake bus tour round Sun Moon Lake or you can do bicycle ride around Sun Moon Lake. Dinner and overnight at Sun Moon Lake.
