Designed as a secluded Spa Village, Chi allows you to enjoy the privacy and luxury of the largest Spa Villas in Asia, complete with spacious relaxation areas, private garden patio, sunken tub, herbal steam room and shower.

From the calm serenity of the Spa's welcoming Sanctum, guests can enjoy the experience of the unique Chi Water Garden Pavilion, featuring vitality hydro pools, herbal steam rooms, aroma-relax beds and body scrub salas as a prelude to a relaxing and revitalizing body massage. Cabanas beside the Chi Spa pool allow you enjoy the serene gardens and spacious timelessness of CHI.

The Philosophy

In traditional Chinese philosophy, "chi" is the universal life force that governs well-being and personal vitality. For people to maintain good health, it is believed that chi must flow freely within the body, and when blocked, "disease" and illness follow. Movement is therefore a key element in releasing these natural blockages. Exercise, stretching, massage, hydrotherapy and movement of the mind through relaxation and meditation combine to assist the body's natural renewal and form the basis of the CHI spa Philosophy.

Developed by a team of experts, CHI's signature therapies are based on the Five Elements Theory, in which Metal, Water, Wood, Fire, and Earth are in balance to harmonize with the positive Yang and negative Yin energy within the body. For balance to occur, the harmony of Yin and Yang must be restored. Discover your personal Elements Signs.

How to Spa?

Meeting your needs?

Upon your arrival at CHI, your Receptionist will conduct a brief consultation to determine your five element sign and ensure that you have the treatments best suited to your needs. Please advise the Receptionist if you are pregnant or have any health issues. Our Receptionists are experienced in all treatments and would be delighted to assist you in planning your spa program if you are staying in the hotel for more than one day.

Preparing your treatment

For ladies, no preparation is necessary. Turn up and enjoy! For men, we recommend shaving prior to having a facial for maximum comfort and benefit to the skin. Other treatments require no preparation

What to wear?

You may wish to bring a swimsuit while enjoying the Spa Garden Facilities. For Chi Villas and Garden Suite there is no need to bring or wear any special clothing, as spa wear is provided in your treatment suite. Facial gowns are provided for facials, as are Thai Pyjamas for Thai massage. Comfortable underwear is provided for all other body treatments and massages

Your Privacy

Your privacy will be protected at all times. Your Therapist will leave you to change in private and throughout the treatment you will be draped with towels, covering all parts of the body not being treated. Ladies will be given the option of including the bust area in all body treatments.

Making Reservations

Advance booking prior to intended treatment time is recommended. Please either call or visit the CHI desk in the main hotel Lobby should you wish to discuss your personalized treatment

Arriving on time

To make the most of your spa experience, please arrive at least 30 minutes before your appointment.

Late Arrivals

In the event that you are running late, we will endeavor to conduct your full treatment. However, please note that the treatment may need to be shortened should there be another booking immediately afterwards.

Minimum Age
To maintain a peaceful environment, children under 16 years are not permitted in the spa

Cancellation Fee
In consideration of other spa guests, as your treatment requires that facilities be reserved, we request a minimum of 12 hours notice if you are unable to keep your appointment. Please call our staff, who will be happy to reschedule. No show or appointments cancelled within 12 hours will incur a 50 percent cancellation fee.

Although we do our best to anticipate your needs, we appreciate that a spa is very individual experience. Please let your Therapist know if there in any way that she can improve your treatment or comfort - for example, heavier or lighter massage pressure, an extra towel, sound or lighting levels, etc. we appreciate your feedback and encourage you to kindly fill in a Guest Questionnaire following your treatment.

The Chi Water Garden Experience

The unique Chi Water garden combines the Asian tradition of bathing and cleanliness with the European origins of spa "Salus per Aqua", the concept of health through water. Facilities include:

Water Siatsu

Enjoy this unique treatment experience in the privacy of the specially designed Watsu Pavilion. Whilst gently floating in soothing warm water, stretching and shiatsu-like massage techniques are applied. This extraordinary water therapy experience imparts a feeling of weightlessness and free movement, whilst easing muscles and improving flexibility. A deeply relaxing sensation unlike no other.

Half Day City Rituals

The luxury of time; enjoy half day experience in the privacy of a spacious Chi Villa. Included in your Chi Villa Experience is our invitation to enjoy a refreshing selection from the Chi Cuisine Menu served beside the Spa Pool. Reservations are available either as a morning experience from 10:00 am to 2:30 pm or an afternoon experience from 3:30 pm to 8:00pm. Extended villa hours can be requested subject to availability.
Chi Water Garden and Spa Pool are available to enjoy at your leisure.

Chi Balance

A unique blend of Asian techniques personalized to suit your current Yin/Yang status, focusing on the earth element (building chi), wood element (moving chi), and fire element (clarity and peace of mind). Techniques include acupressure, energizing massage for yang stimulation and a relaxing massage for yin calm. Pure oriental element oils are use to harmonize chi flow.

This popular bean from the sturdy Philippine Liberica tree is known for its cellulite reducing properties. Natural detoxifying ingredients, caffeine and tannin, assist in the removal of excess body fluids. Essential Body Glow

This invigorating experience enhances blood circulation using a natural loofah polish., infused with Chi essential oils to condition and soften the skin. An application of Regenerating Cardamom Body lotion completes the treatment

Chi Skin Polish

A unique signature treatment rich in mineral salts and citrus oil blends to gently rejuvenate and radiate the skin. Mountain Tsampa Rub
